Hi everyone, the process of learning about for-profit s-corporations or non-profit organizations was very interesting and challenging and I ended up establishing both!
I do not have an LLC, however am happy to team up on projects with other organizations and companies sometimes as a lead
and other times as a subcontracted provider.
We are a for-profit s-corporation, that changed its name for a new purpose in 2020. Before then we were just a consulting company for academic support that was very small and mostly was a side effort while I was in graduate school from 2012 to 2018.
In 2019 I completed a health coaching certificate and started to transform the consulting platform I had to a health coaching platform, while giving the original name a purpose on my second endeavor, a nonprofit organization.
Both organizations can now apply for grants. I completed the federal contractor paperwork, for that purpose like for NIH grants,
The other has more opportunity through the nonprofit sector.
